About Us
Our aim at Limerick Orthodontics is to provide adults, teens and young children with specialist orthodontic treatment in a friendly, caring, high technology practice.
Each patient receives a customised treatment plan tailored to their unique requirements.
Limerick Orthodontics is an Invisalign Certified Provider and Incognito Lingual Brace Provider. We specialise in early treatment of young patients and orthognathic surgery cases.
Meet The Orthodontists
Mr. Ted McNamara
BDS NUI, DOrth RCS (Eng), FDS RCPS, FFDRCSI, FICD.
Mr Ted McNamara is the only accredited consultant trained orthodontist in the Mid West. This required many extra years in postgraduate training.
He spent 6 of these years at the world renowned Eastman Dental hospital, London where he held the position of senior registrar in orthodontics, regarded as one of the most prestigious training posts in the UK.
As a result he was recognised by the Royal College of Surgeons in England to train orthodontists in Limerick. One of his trainees was awarded the Gold Medal for the highest mark at the UK membership examinations.
This training has been very beneficial to the local community.
His son in law, Christian Day is consultant orthodontist in Bristol Dental Hospital. His daughter is also a consultant trained orthodontist. They discuss complicated orthodontic cases and modern orthodontic techniques on a regular basis.
